Everybody (and every body) is different. Some people can eat an entire pot of fondue and feel fine, others have stomach trouble at the site of sour cream. Some people like to eat wheat for the fiber, others can’t digest the gluten. Some people have a sweet tooth, while others have to limit their sugar intake due to diabetes. Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Carb-Free, Sugar-Free, Low-Fat, Vegetarian, Vegan, Paleo, South Beach – the list of diets and constraints goes on and on. I’m not a nutritionist, but I think it’s safe to say that eating a diet of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in combination with exercise is a good start for most people who are looking to lose weight or improve their health through what goes into their body. But, only you know what your body can handle.
I find that most websites are dedicated to one type of diet. This is not one of those websites. My mission is to provide a wide-range of (mostly) healthy recipes in a variety of different categories. I can’t promise to provide recipes for every dietary constraint out there (my arsenal of vegan recipes is limited), but my goal is to provide a little something for everyone.
I will share my own kitchen experiments, and altered and unaltered recipes from others that I stumble upon throughout my continuing recipe research – I am always trying to find ways to make creamy dishes without cream! Please feel free to share your dietary needs and desires as well.
