This is one of my favorite party appetizers because it’s healthy, delicious, and ridiculously easy. It’s quick enough to prepare 20 minutes before a party but it’s also the kind of appetizer that you can make ahead. When you’re cooking a big meal, it’s always good to have a few dishes that you can prepare the night before.
For the 10-12 servings of the Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus all you need is five ingredients, three of which you probably have in your pantry already.
How easy is that??
TIP: You can also put the asparagus spears on the grill. I’m using the oven because our grill was full, but either way is crowd-pleasing!
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1/2 pound thinly-sliced Prosciutto
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Sea salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- Heat oven broiler and line a baking sheet with non-stick foil. Wrap each asparagus spear in one slice prosciutto and secure with a toothpick if necessary. If your asparagus is thin, you can put two spears in each prosciutto slice.
- Line each spear on the baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper and olive oil.
- Cook for 7-10 minutes or until the prosciutto begins to crisp.
